Match the bag to the food and handover
State whether food touches the paper directly or sits inside another wrap. Dry bread and oily food need different sample briefs. Check the usable space with the portion, and describe any fold-over closure or ventilation needed during service.

Approve samples in normal service
Fill the sample with the intended food and use the normal closing and carrying method. Inspect the seams, bottom, grease transfer and handling after the planned holding time. Record the food, temperature and duration so the approved construction can be checked again for repeat orders.

Can the same bag be used for bread and oily snacks?
Do not select by size alone. Identify the grease and moisture exposure for each food, then review paper construction and filled samples for those conditions.
What food-contact documents should be requested?
Identify the selected paper, any lining or treatment and the destination market. Request documents that apply to that construction and intended food-contact conditions.
When are packing and delivery details confirmed?
