Protective Packaging Drop and Vibration Trials: Define the Assembly Before Testing

ARBONYXPACK · Transport evaluation records

A drop or vibration result belongs to the assembly that was tested. The product, insert, carton, closure and packing method need to be identifiable before the result can guide a production order.

Define the test pack

Record product and accessory references, weight, orientation, insert drawing, carton construction and closure method. Photograph the packing sequence. Include the approved revision of each component so the assembly can be reproduced.

Agree the conditions and acceptance

Choose the protocol with the responsible testing or packaging team for the intended route. Record the test sequence and criteria for product condition, function and pack performance. The evaluation should answer a defined transport question rather than provide an unspecified claim that the package passed.

Inspect the contents as well as the carton

After the agreed evaluation, document damage, movement, contact marks and changes in the support arrangement. Record where each issue appears. An intact outer carton does not by itself establish that the product arrived in acceptable condition.

Review changes before repeating orders

Keep the report with the tested references and production specification. If the product, support geometry, material, carton or closure changes, determine which checks need repeating. Do not automatically apply the old result to a materially different pack.
