Retail & Brand Packaging
A retail pack has several jobs: hold the product, show the brand and survive the journey to the customer. Paper bags, folding cartons, gift boxes and inserts can be planned as a coordinated set.
Create a Coordinated Packaging Set

Folding Cartons & Boxes
Develop the dieline, board and print finish around the product and packing process.
Retail Brands
Start with the contents and how they are sold. A store carry bag needs handling strength; an ecommerce order also needs transit protection. Give internal dimensions and packed weight, then choose opening and closure details. Paper bags and retail cartons can share artwork while using different constructions.
Cosmetics & Personal Care
Bottles, jars and tubes need enough clearance for packing, with support that limits movement. Identify fragile caps, glass edges and surfaces that must not be marked. A fitted pulp insert may form part of the design; evaluate it with the actual product and outer pack.
Artwork and structural design
Artwork should follow the final dieline. Include colour references, logo files, mandatory text and the areas that will fold or be glued. Assess colour and finish on the specified stock, since a screen preview cannot show the paper surface or final printed appearance.
Material selection
Paper weight, board thickness and any window, laminate or coating belong in the specification. Also identify the handle and insert materials. Disposal instructions need to reflect the finished pack and the collection system available to your customers.
Sample approval
Assemble a sample through the intended packing sequence. Check fit, lid or flap closure, print position and product removal. For carry bags, test the filled load and handle attachment; for dispatched orders, assess the retail pack inside its shipping carton.
